IBEW 1245/PG&E Table Agreement Reached!
After more than a year of work, your Bargaining Committee has reached a Table Agreement (TA) with PG&E. The TA is a critical step in the negotiating process with a goal of achieving a fair and improved agreement for the 13,800 IBEW 1245 Bargaining Unit members at PG&E.
Reaching a table agreement required analysis of more than 13,000 member proposals and numerous company proposals followed by extensive data research, debate, and negotiations. Representing you in this process were the 25 IBEW 1245 members of the Bargaining Committee, various Subject Matter Experts, and seasoned IBEW 1245 staff. More than 20 subcommittees represented specific interests in negotiations.
In addition to the key points, your Bargaining Committee accomplishments include successfully blocking company efforts to more than double member medical premium contributions, reduce the duration of rest periods, and contract out clerical work.
All negotiations require give and take. While double time for all overtime was proposed to PG&E, the Bargaining Committee concluded the price tag demanded by the company was too high and would have disadvantaged a majority of our PG&E members.
NOW IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO DECIDE!
EDUCATE YOURSELF AND VOTE!
For more than 60% of our PG&E employed members, this is your first time voting on a PG&E Union Agreement. It is important you read the TA, get your questions answered, and vote!

PG&E Contract Negotiations Update: December 2025
Vacaville, CA — PG&E contract negotiations are moving forward steadily and are gaining momentum.
Your bargaining team is working tirelessly, but more time is needed to complete negotiations.
On December 31st, when the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) expires, “Evergreen Status” will go into effect. This means all terms of the CBA shall continue (wages, benefits, working conditions, “no layoff clause”) however there will be no General Wage Increase (GWI) on January 1, 2026.
We will continue bargaining until we reach a Table Agreement which will be sent out for a ratification vote by our members. The Table Agreement will include GWI’s for each year of the new CBA. Any potential retroactive wage adjustment (Jan 1,2026 through date of a signed CBA) would have to be negotiated and agreed to between the parties.
We will continue to update our IBEW 1245 Shop Stewards on our regular calls and update this page.
If you have additional questions, feel free to speak with your Shop Steward, a bargaining team member or your Business Representative.

Among other items, Ad Hoc Subcommittees are addressing:

“Our committee has been superb, working nonstop and bringing their expertise to the Table and to the Ad Hoc Subcommittees,” said Bob Dean. He emphasized, “Getting it right is more important than getting it fast.”
The current contract expires on December 31, 2025. Absent a new, ratified agreement, the
“evergreen status” will kick in. “Evergreen status” means the contract automatically renews after the expiration date, unless otherwise indicated by either party.
