| Mortgage Assistance The Union Plus Mortgage & Real Estate program offers savings to IBEW members—from initial fees to closing costs. It is the only mortgage program in the USA to offer layoff and strike assistance. Legal Resources IBEW members are eligible for a free 30-minute consultation with a lawyer for help with personal legal questions. Further assistance is discounted 30% from the normal hourly fee. Credit Counseling It’s the one-stop debt management solution for union members —with a free initial financial assessment and 33% off a debt management plan. Scholarships In addition to the scholarships offered directly through Local 1245, the Union Plus Scholarship Program offers scholarships to union members, their spouses and dependent children. Since 1992, the program has awarded more than $1.8 million in scholarship assistance. Also check the Union Plus College Planning Center for lots of good advice.
