back pay award for members at truckee meadows water authority

Water Plant Operators at Truckee Meadows Water Authority in Reno have received $77,000 in back pay, split between the 16 operators. TMWA shop steward Travis Bunkowski notified IBEW 1245 Business Representative, Pat Waite that Dispatchers from Sierra Pacific had just received two years back pay for voluntarily reporting before their designated shift change without compensation. After reviewing the Fair Labor Standards Act with TMWA, it was agreed the operators would receive two years back pay.
