Your IBEW Negotiating Committee reached a tentative agreement with Sacramento Regional Transit on Friday, April 25. Here are the details of this settlement:
· Term of 24 months, from November 1, 2007 and ending on October 31, 2009.
· Effective May 1, 2008, the hourly wage rates shall be increased by 2%.
· Effective September 1, 2009, the hourly wages shall be increased by 1%.
· Effective July 1, 2008, the benefit multiplier in the SRT-IBEW Retirement Plan shall be revised to reflect 2.5% for members terminating or retiring on and after age 60, or after having earned 30 years of service.
IBEW Negotiating Committee has taken a neutral stance on the contract settlement.
A list of all tentative agreements will be given to each IBEW member during informational meetings to be held this week. Scheduled meetings are:
· Tuesday April 29, Evergreen Facility 2:00pm to 4:00pm
· Wednesday April 30, Wayside at 6:00am, and Light Rail at 7:00am, and again at 8:00pm at Light Rail.
· Thursday May 1, SRT Auditorium for Bus and Hallcraft at 6:30am to 8:30am, and again at 5:30pm on May 1.
We believe that voting on the settlement offer will occur during the week of May 5, through May 9.
