WAPA pact raises wages

IBEW members at the Western Area Power Administration have ratified a new agreement, which now awaits final approvement by the U.S. Department of Energy.

The agreement includes a first-year wage increase of 3.76%, with wage re-openers in each of the final four years of the five-year agreement.

Negotiating for the union were Jamie Freeze and Business Rep. Sam Glero.
