IBEW 1245 Retirees Club

You may have retired from your job, but there’s still a place for you in the union!

The Local 1245 Retirees Club holds monthly meetings in the East Bay (Dublin), San Jose, Santa Rosa, Vacaville, and Merced. Our meetings attract members not only from PG&E, but from Local 1245’s other employers. Spouses of active or deceased members are eligible for membership. The Local 1245 Retirees Club offers a host of benefits, including:

Utility Reporter. As a Retirees Club member, you will continue to receive your monthly copy of the union newspaper.

Dental Plan. Retiree Club members have a one-time opportunity to join local union-sponsored dental plans. Retiree Club members and their dependents are eligible to join either the Private Medical Care, Inc. (PMI) Dental Health Plan or the Delta Dental Plan. (Dental plans are available only to club members who retired on or after January 1, 1987.)

Death Benefit. Retiree Club members in good standing are automatically covered by a $1,000 death benefit. Spouses of members are covered by a $500 death benefit. You are eligible for this benefit regardless of your age.

Credit Union. Retiree Club members are eligible to join the Organized Labor Credit Union, which offers loans at prevailing rates and offers above-average interest savings accounts. Most transactions can be handled by mail.

Free Legal Advice and a huge array of discounted services and products are available to Retiree Club members through the Union-Plus program.

Vacaville/Sacramento Chapter:
Meets 2nd Wednesday each month,
10 a.m., at Weakley Hall, 30 Orange Tree Circle, Vacaville.

North Bay Chapter:
Meets 1st Tuesday each month,10 a.m., at COCO's Restaurant, 1501 Farmers Lane, Santa Rosa.

Merced Chapter:
Meets 1st Tuesday each month, 10 a.m., at Merced Senior Community Center, 755 W. 15th St., Merced.
