Sponsored by: THE NEVADA STATE AFL-CIO

2006 ESSAY TOPIC:

Recently immigration has been in the forefront as a national issue. There are an estimated 12 million undocumented workers in America.

Today,  Congress is struggling with finding a solution for this issue while the workers continue to be abused and exploited on the job with no legal recourse. The Republican leadership in Congress is attempting to pass a law that would criminalize all individuals in this country illegally.

What solution would you promote to Congress to address this issue?
